Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Award

Got big plans for your future? We want to help!

Affinity Credit Union created a scholarship dedicated to the late Elwood Harvey, to honor his significant contribution to the credit union and co-operative movement.

Learn more of his legacy here.

If you’re in grade 11, looking forward to your post-secondary education and seeking ways to develop your leadership skills, then this is the opportunity for you.

The Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Award is a unique opportunity for you to learn about money, leadership, co-operatives and a whole lot more. You’ll gain skills that’ll help you make a big impact on your community – and the $2,500 to fund your education won’t hurt a bit.

We accept 26 students in this program every year. If you’re selected, you’ll spend your grade 12 year with a front-row ticket to how Affinity works. By becoming involved and attending a few district council meetings, you’ll gain real-life experience that’ll help build your skills and confidence. It’s kind of like an apprenticeship program where you work closely with our district council delegates in helping to govern our credit union.

To be eligible, you (or your parent/guardian) need to be an Affinity Credit Union member. Not a member? It’s not too late – join the better banking movement today!

And don’t forget, we’re here to answer any questions you have, so call our Contact Centre at 1.866.863.6237 or send us an email at scholarships@affinitycu.ca.

Applications for 2017 are now closed. Check back soon for 2018 deadlines.
