If you’re in grade 11, looking forward to your post-secondary education and seeking ways to develop your leadership skills, then this is a great opportunity for you.
We’re excited to offer the Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program, a unique and rewarding opportunity for you to learn about money, leadership, co-operatives and a whole lot more. This program is designed for young Affinity Credit Union members like you, who aspire to make a big difference in their community - and the $2,500 to fund your education won’t hurt a bit.
We created this scholarship dedicated to the late Elwood Harvey, to honor his significant contribution to the credit union and co-operative movement. You can learn more about his legacy here.
20 lucky students get accepted into this program every year and we work with them throughout Grade 12. If you’re selected, here’s what you can expect:
- Gain real life experience and find out what it means to be part of a co-operative organization
- Get involved and attend district council meetings
- Work closely with our District Council Delegates and help govern our credit union
- Learn valuable leadership and networking skills
To be eligible, you (or your parent/guardian) need to be an Affinity Credit Union member. Not a member? It’s not too late – join the better banking movement today!
