Shannan Corey

For more than 30 years, I have applied my financial, actuarial, HR and governance knowledge in roles focused on serving members and strengthening organizations from within. As a long time HR professional and compensation specialist, I bring significant expertise in Human Resources and Compensation, including strategic compensation design, organizational structure, performance management and succession planning. I served as Director of Total Rewards at Federated Co-operatives Limited, supporting HR and compensation strategies for more than 35,000 employees across the co-operative retail system.

Most recently, as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Pension Plan (SPP), I led a member financial institution through strategic growth, regulatory reform and organizational transformation. This role deepened my proficiency in information technology governance, where I oversaw digital transformation, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management and IT compliance. Under my leadership, SPP achieved national security standard compliance three years ahead of schedule.

I also bring extensive experience navigating the legal and regulatory environment, particularly within financial services, pensions and co operative structures. My work has included interpreting provincial and federal legislation, leading major regulatory reform and collaborating with legal and government partners to advance member focused strategies.

My governance experience includes serving on the CSS Pension Plan Board (Vice President), the STF Pension & Benefits Board and supporting Boards and CEOs as a governance consultant with BoardBe. These roles strengthened my commitment to governance best practices, ethical leadership and decision making grounded in the long term interests of members.

I am known for my strategic mindset, financial acumen and values based leadership. Having recently transitioned from full time executive roles, I am intentional about contributing meaningfully where my expertise can support member outcomes and community sustainability.

With deep Saskatchewan roots and a career dedicated to serving member based organizations, I am motivated by opportunities that align personal values with meaningful community impact. With more than 35 years as a Chartered Professional Accountant and former Managing Partner at PwC Saskatoon, I have dedicated my career to helping organizations navigate complex financial, operational and strategic challenges. I have spent my career working with private companies and public entities providing assurance and related services to a variety of management, ownership and governance structures across many industries.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring this experience to Affinity and to contribute to the strength and sustainability of a credit union that plays such a meaningful role in our communities.

Throughout my career at PwC, I worked closely with private, public and co operative organizations across many industries. My work included mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, transitions, business transformation and addressing financial pressures. This extensive experience has given me deep insight into organizational strategy and governance.

As a member of PwC Canada’s leadership team, I helped lead strategic change and business transformation initiatives, developing a strong appreciation for one of the most important drivers of success: people, culture and team cohesion.

My board experience includes leadership roles with organizations such as SaskEnergy, the Saskatoon Airport Authority, the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation, United Way of Saskatoon and Area and several others. These roles have strengthened my commitment to community service and deepened my understanding of effective governance.

I hold the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D), which reflects my focus on strong governance practices grounded in accountability, transparency and sound decision making.

Across my professional and board career, I have developed significant expertise in areas that are vital to Affinity’s future. These experiences equip me to contribute meaningfully to Affinity’s oversight responsibilities in an increasingly complex environment.

If elected, my priority will be to support Affinity’s long term financial sustainability while ensuring the credit union remains relevant and responsive to the needs of its members and the communities it serves. Rish Malhotra

With more than 20 years of global executive experience across regulated financial services, public infrastructure, engineering and technology industries, I have led organizations through complex transformation, growth and regulatory environments. I believe that disciplined oversight, community rooted decision making and a strong co-operative culture are essential to sustaining the trust and well being of Affinity members.

As President & CEO of International Road Dynamics, I held enterprise level responsibility for executive and organizational compensation, talent management, leadership development and succession planning. I ensured compensation structures were aligned with strategy, financial performance, risk and long term value creation. In addition to my extensive HR experience, at the board level, I have also overseen executive compensation, culture and leadership risk through Governance and HR Committees in regulated organizations.

I currently serve as Chief Strategy Officer of a technology company operating in the intelligent transportation systems sector, where I lead strategic growth, partnerships and technology-enabled expansion initiatives. With engineering training (B.Eng., M.Sc.) and senior leadership experience in AI driven and technology enabled organizations, I have overseen digital transformation, data platforms, cybersecurity risk management and regulatory compliance. I bring board level oversight experience to ensure technology investments strengthen resilience, regulatory compliance and member value.

My regulatory experience spans financial services, infrastructure and technology industries. During my time with BMO, I worked within a highly regulated banking environment with responsibilities tied to controls, enterprise risk rating systems and regulatory reporting. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with regulators, auditors and legal counsel to ensure compliance, transparency and sound governance.

I currently serve on multiple boards, including the Saskatoon Airport Authority and the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, with experience across a full range of governance, audit, and human resources committees. These roles have strengthened my ability to ask informed questions, assess operational risk, challenge constructively and help guide long term strategic decisions.

A life long learner and Professional Engineer, I hold an MBA from the Edwards School of Business and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. As a proud Saskatchewan resident of South Asian heritage, I value inclusive leadership and believe diversity strengthens governance and member outcomes.

Tracy Arno

With over two decades of strategic leadership experience, I bring expertise in the HR area identified as a key skill by the Affinity Board. As the CEO and founder of Essence Recruitment, I have extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, organizational development and leadership assessment. These skills inform my contributions to board discussions on culture, leadership and accountability.

I also bring a governance level understanding of technology, cybersecurity and digital risk, informed by my training, professional development and board experience with organizations that operate in regulated, technology dependent environments. In addition, my background includes practical familiarity with regulatory and legal considerations, especially those related to governance, employment and risk oversight.

My board service includes contributions to Affinity Credit Union, SaskWater, the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, NSBA, Prairieland Park, Meewasin Valley Authority and many others. Across these roles, I’ve developed strong skills in strategic planning, financial oversight, risk management and collaborative decision making. I strive to be an engaged, prepared and respectful board member. I’m someone who listens carefully, contributes constructively and works in the best interests of members.

Community leadership has been a thread throughout my career. I have long been involved in initiatives that support Saskatchewan’s growth, leadership capacity and future prosperity. This connection to community keeps me grounded in the realities and opportunities that matter to Affinity members.

Affinity’s purpose of strengthening communities, supporting people and operating with integrity aligns deeply with my own values and with the work I have dedicated my career to. I believe financial institutions have a responsibility to contribute positively to the well being of their members and I am committed to helping Affinity continue to fulfill that responsibility.

I am seeking re-election to the Affinity Credit Union Board of Directors. During my time on Affinity’s Board, I have gained a strong appreciation for the importance of governance in shaping not only financial performance but also long term community impact. Serving a member owned, purpose driven organization is a privilege and I hold that responsibility with care. Rejoining the board would allow me to continue contributing thoughtful oversight, continuity and a values-based approach to decision-making.

I believe my nearly 30-year career in Information Technology, business strategy and digital transformation can meaningfully support the Board as Affinity navigates rapid technological change and prepares for its next strategic chapter. As a proud member of Affinity, I am strongly aligned with the co-operative values of community investment, member ownership and local impact.

I bring extensive experience and expertise leading technology-enabled organizations across registry services, mining, telecommunications, industrial manufacturing and utilities. My career has been deeply rooted in IT strategy, digital innovation and cybersecurity oversight, competencies that are increasingly critical to strong credit union governance.

Throughout my leadership roles, including as part of Nutrien’s Global IT Leadership Team, I have led major digital transformation initiatives that delivered measurable safety, productivity and operational improvements. Cybersecurity has been a central focus of my work for more than a decade. I have overseen internal and external cyber audits, developed cyber risk mitigation strategies and helped build secure digital platforms that underpin essential services. These experiences translate directly to the board’s responsibility for IT governance, cyber resilience and risk oversight.

My early career also includes 12 years as part-owner and corporate leader at a Saskatchewan-based IT consulting firm that grew to more than 300 employees. This experience gave me hands-on perspective in HR, finance, strategy, operations and business growth. These skills will complement the board’s need for strong human resources and organizational leadership insight.

I bring valuable governance experience having served on the boards of the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and the Saskatchewan Science Centre, contributing through Audit & Finance, Governance, Human Resources and Nominating Committees and serving as Chair of Governance. As part of a publicly traded company’s executive team, I regularly present to and collaborate with board directors, enhancing my understanding of high-performing board dynamics.

I am passionate about education and community development, having chaired advisory councils for Saskatchewan Polytechnic and supported skills development programs across the province.

Noel Voykin

Throughout my career, I have led complex, highly regulated enterprises in the utilities, mining, nuclear and clean energy sectors. These roles required disciplined governance, thoughtful decision making and a deep focus on financial oversight and risk management. My experience translates strongly to the responsibilities of a credit union board director where prudence, transparency and member trust are paramount.

I bring expertise in the areas identified as vital to Affinity’s board. My experience includes leading large, unionized teams, modernizing HR practices, implementing succession planning, reinforcing safety culture, and enhancing employee engagement across several organizations.

I significantly strengthened information technology and cybersecurity functions by directing the response to a major ransomware attack at the Northwest Territories Power Corporation. I have a thorough understanding of IT risk, data protection and the necessity of robust governance to safeguard systems and maintain stakeholder trust. With decades of experience in regulated industries, I have worked with national and international regulators and overseen compliance for major energy, mining and infrastructure projects.

My governance experience includes serving on the boards of Electricity Canada, URTEK, the International Minerals Innovation Institute and a community owned water cooperative. These roles reinforced the importance of clear accountability, strong risk oversight and governance practices that prioritize the long term interests of members and communities.

As President and CEO of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation, I led strategic planning, enterprise wide risk management and major cultural and operational transformations. Today, I lead a company focused on Canada’s clean energy transition, supporting projects that require collaboration, thoughtful oversight and disciplined financial and operational management.

Community service is a central part of my life. As a volunteer firefighter, medical first responder and Saskatchewan Search and Rescue member, I understand the importance of institutions people can rely on, especially when decisions carry real world consequences.

I bring a rural Saskatchewan perspective, extensive experience working alongside Indigenous communities and over three decades of leadership across public, private and cooperative organizations. Affinity’s co-operative model, community focus and commitment to member well being deeply align with my own values of accountability, trust and long term stewardship.

If elected, I will bring a steady, informed and community focused governance approach to the Affinity Board. I am committed to constructive oversight, thoughtful stewardship and supporting Affinity’s long term strength, resilience and relevance for the members and communities it serves.
