The Elwood Harvey Co‑operative Leadership Award offers an enhanced award program to Grade 11 students in each of our 9 districts.
It was established in 2011 to honour the late Elwood Harvey who had a life-long passion for learning and leadership and was wholeheartedly committed to the credit union and co‑operative movement.
Elwood was a firm supporter and contributor to governance at Affinity Credit Union and served as a Board Director and Past President for our credit union as well as having served for many years on the Canadian Credit Union Association Board.
In 2005, Elwood was inducted into the Canadian Credit Union Association Hall of Fame as recognition for his commitment and leadership to credit unions and the co‑operative sector.
To honour his memory, Affinity Credit Union created the Elwood Harvey Co‑operative Leadership Award which recognizes the contribution, and potential, of our community builders of tomorrow.
