With the recent Canada Post service disruption, we’ve identified several ways our members may be impacted and how we can work together to minimize any disruption to your everyday banking needs.
Statements
To avoid any disruption, we recommend signing up to receive your statement electronically.
It’s super easy to sign up. Once you’ve logged in to online banking through affinitycu.ca, select ‘Statements’ from the menu on the left side of the screen. You’ll land on a page with a link to sign up for eStatements. Click on that link and follow the directions – once you provide an email address, you’ll be all set.
Member Card® debit cards and cheque order delivery delays
If your Member Card® debit card is set to expire soon, we’ll be extending its expiry date to ensure uninterrupted access to your funds. This extension is being applied automatically and will keep your card functional until your renewal card arrives.
New or replacement cards and cheque orders may be delayed. Should that occur, don’t worry – you have options! Visit your local Affinity advice centre and we’re happy to help you out.
Credit cards
Switching to eStatements is a breeze! You simply need to log into your Personal or Business Credit Card Portal (by direct login or by choosing the Manage Card link from Affinity Online Banking) and navigate to Email Notifications under My Account and toggle on Electronic Statement.
New or replacement cards may be delayed. Should that occur, don’t worry – you have the added benefit of virtual cards, that can be easily added to your Mobile Wallet and used for online transactions. However, if a plastic card is urgently required, visit your local advice centre or call and rush delivery options are available at a cost of $30.
Your responsibility
Please be advised that, despite a postal disruption, you remain responsible for ensuring all required payments are made to maintain your account in good standing.
