Pauline Ziehl Grimsrud
I was first elected to the Spectra Credit Union Board in 2010. In 2013, I became the Council Chair for District 12 and in 2014, I was elected to the Affinity Board. I continue as the Affinity Director from our district today. As a director, I have served on the Governance, Human Resources and the Co‑operative Values committees, being Chair of that committee for the past two years. I have taken several courses and became an accredited credit union director in 2017.
I have managed the Estevan Curling Club for 19 years and my husband and I operate an organic grain farm south of Torquay. Our two sons live and work in Estevan.
I’ve been on the R.M. of Cambria Council since 2003 and on the Long Creek Environmental Committee since 2009, including five as chair. I served on our local organic farming executive for 15 years, including three on an international bylaws committee. I’ve also served on the Saskatchewan Municipal Hail Board since 2004.
I volunteered at the Hillcrest and Estevan Comprehensive Schools and have coached local youth in archery and curling.
I believe it’s important we continue to improve our services at Affinity while being guided by our co‑operative principles. Changes in technology, regulations and service options available, challenges Affinity to provide the best services possible to our members.
I ask for your support as I seek re-election to the South East District Council and continue in my role as a member of the Affinity Board.
