Affinity Global Payment MasterCard

The GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard program is coming to an end across Canada.

Affinity issued GLOBAL PAYMENT Mastercard cards were discontinued on May 29, 2019.

What to know about your CHOICE REWARDS® points

  • June 29, 2019 is last day to dispute CHOICE REWARDS point balances.
  • You have until September 30, 2019 to redeem your CHOICE REWARD points.
  • You can redeem your CHOICE REWARD points online at or by calling 1.877.877.3703
  • If you decide not to redeem your CHOICE REWARDS points, Affinity will pay them out in full to your Affinity account by November 1, 2019 at a rate of 1% (100 points = $1)
  • You must have an active deposit account at Affinity Credit Union in order to receive your CHOICE REWARDS payout. 
  • Neither Affinity Credit Union nor any of its affiliates, in relation to the CHOICE REWARDS Program, will be issuing tax receipts for the payout of your CHOICE REWARDS Program points. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to discuss any possible tax implications. 

What to know about your pre-authorized transactions

  • All pre-authorized transactions attached to your GPC must be updated.
  • Beginning June 10th any pre-authorized transactions that are still attached to your GPC will show the “ATTN REQ” in front of them. This indicates that they’re still attached to your GPC and must be updated with another form of payment.
  • Effective November 1, 2019 any pre-authorized transactions that are attached to your GPC will be subject to a $25 (+ GST) per transaction fee related to manual processing.
