Read Saskatoon
For 29 years, Read Saskatoon has played a vital role in our community. They offer literacy support to adults and families to help ensure that every person in our community has the tools necessary to learn to read. Read Saskatoon volunteers offer one-on-one tutoring, as well as, support families through their Family Literacy program.
Affinity has partnered with Read Saskatoon since 2007 to help ensure that funding is available for their valued programs.
Affinity receives Literacy Award of Merit
Affinity Credit Union is the recipient of a prestigious 2009 Saskatchewan Literacy Award of Merit presented by Gordon Barnhart, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.
The award, presented in the Business/Corporate Award category, was accepted by Carm Michalenko, Marketing and Strategic Services Manager. It recognizes Affinity’s support over the past three years for Read Saskatoon - a charity which aims to improve adult literacy. Affinity partnered with Read Saskatoon to extend their capacity for new fundraising initiatives, tripling their revenues.
