Social Networking Safety
Social networking sites have become as common in the lives of our children as have cell-phones, the internet, and iPods. With this ability to stay connected 24/7 comes tremendous risks. Though they wouldn't in person, young people are apt to provide personal information to complete strangers on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
This program addresses these and other on-line dangers. Subject matter is tailored for children and adults*. Participants learn to:
- Better understand the workings of Facebook and MySpace
- Identify on-line threats to safety
- Enjoy a safe and careful web presence
- Identify resources
