Affinity partners with, and supports, Road Map Saskatoon, an organization that works with organizations to promote the environmental, social and economic benefits of sustainable practices.
Affinity Credit Union has introduced the following sustainable practices:
Ian Banks, Facilities Manager
- Recycle bins in all branches
- Use of paper shredding companies
- Double-sided printing reducing paper use
- Videoconferencing and bicycle couriers to reduce carbon emissions
- Reconfigurable walls which reduce the reliance on drywall and wood
- Carpet tiles
- Biodegradable chairs
- Use of companies with “green” policies where possible
In addition, Affinity Credit Union has a representative, Ian Banks, Facilities Manager, on the Road Map Saskatoon Board of Directors.
