$25,000 Donation to Station Arts Theatre in Rosthern
Station Arts Theatre in Rosthern has a newly-constructed extension thanks, in part, to a $25,000 donation from Affinity Credit Union.
The presentation was made in front of a local audience attending the Theatre’s spring fundraiser musical review and reception.
On behalf of the Theatre, Kathy Thiessen, Board Director, and Don Greave, Fundraising Chair, received an enlarged cheque for $25,000 presented by Linda Moulin, Affinity’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, and Maxine Vasani from Affinity’s Rosthern Branch. Two Affinity District Council Delegates Jim Craik and Pat Melin also took part.
The money was used to expand the Theatre, improve the dressing rooms and technical room, and enlarge the Tea Room.
Maxine Vasani said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Station Arts Theatre. At Affinity, we are committed to community investment through long-term partnerships with community organizations that can benefit from our support.”
Kathy Thiessen, who first approached Affinity Credit Union for assistance, said: “We recognize the long-term advantages of working with a local financial institution that consistently participates and invests its profits in the local community.”
Affinity Credit Union is the second largest credit union in Saskatchewan. It provides access to a complete range of financial products and services including every-day banking, insurance, mortgages, and wealth management products to 95,000 member-owners though a network of 46 branches in 37 communities across Saskatchewan.
