Mortgage Flexibilities Support Program
Access to safe and affordable housing is a necessary foundation for building healthy, vibrant communities.
That’s why Affinity Credit Union has partnered with the City of Saskatoon with support from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), Genworth Financial Canada (Genworth), and the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation to create the Mortgage Flexibilities Support Program to increase affordable home ownership in Saskatoon.
With a 5% down payment grant from the City and mortgage loan insurance flexibilities from CMHC or Genworth, qualified homebuyers will have the means to finance the purchase of a new home through Affinity Credit Union.
To qualify, applicants’ annual income must not exceed $44,500 for singles and couples and $52,000 for families with dependent. Once approved, they are eligible to purchase a property located within one of the City’s designated affordable housing projects.
