Protect Your Debit/Credit Card and PIN
- Sign all credit cards when you receive them. Activate your credit card immediately.
- Keep your credit card in view at all times. Destroy receipts you no longer need.
- Change your secret code (PIN) often to protect your financial information. You can now change the PIN on your Affinity debit and credit cards at any Affinity ATM, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Don't lend your cards to anyone including family and friends.
- Use your hand or body to shield your secret code (PIN) when you are conducting transactions at an ATM or when paying for groceries etc.
- Never let your banking card out of your sight when buying something at the till. Always remember to take your banking card and transaction record with you once your transaction is completed.
- Make sure you swipe your own debit card at the till.
- When withdrawing cash from an ATM, count the money discretely and put it in your wallet immediately.
- Do not accept help from anyone when using an ATM. If anyone tries to distract you, retrieve your card and leave.
- Notify Affinity immediately if you detect any irregular activity on your account or if your debit or credit card is lost or stolen.
